The creative and personal relationship spanning over the best part of a decade, Tailfeather and Ghostpatrol join forces once more to release a limited edition canvas shopper.

Ghost patrol is no stranger to lending his signature to the TF brand. 2010 saw the first collaboration come to life with the release of a laser etched Forest. Shortly after in 2013 a follow up New Holland wallet in premium Kangaroo leather was released to the Tailfeather and Ghostpatrol audience.

2016 sees the two come together once more. Ghostpatrol’s original design screen printed on TF Australian made canvas with premium Horween leather handles. The Murdered out black on black on black Mallard shopper launched exclusively to the Tailfeather Concept Store, October 2016.

Our Process
————

Tailfeather products are meticulously designed and hand crafted by husband and wife team Sai and Natalia in their studio on the Bellarine Peninsula in Victoria. The brand was started in 2010 in the Tallarook ranges, and was inspired by the surrounding bush landscape, producing a classic Australian style combined with a contemporary look that holds practicality at its heart.

The range is built upon the knowledge and experience gained from time spent in the workshop—A small team of highly skilled local craftsmen making limited runs ensures the highest possible quality is maintained. Tailfeather follows four key design principles:

Nº 1.

Timeless design

Timeless design is integral to the quality of all of the Tailfeather product range.

Each piece is designed to look great, meet the practical requirements of day-to-day use, and last for years.

Nº 2.

Traditional Craft

Tailfeather pieces are created using a unique combination of modern technology and traditional crafting techniques.

Concepts created on paper and developed in the studio are refined on computer. Patterns are cut and then trimmed by hand. Panels are hand-stitched and edges are burnished with natural beeswax. Custom-made, solid brass hardware is handset. Branding and details are laser etched.

Nº 3.

Durable materials

Tailfeather products use only quality materials. Combined with minimal panelling, strong seams, and solid brass hardware ensures Tailfeather pieces will last the distance.

Tailfeather uses top-grain leather from Italy. Kangaroo leather is used for wallets and card holders. Canvas products are made from an Australian made, military grade canvas.

Nº 4.

Practical function

Practical functionality is fundamental to Tailfeather’s design principles. Each piece is conceived to serve a specific purpose.

Bags are designed to fit the body and distribute weight comfortably. They feature phone pockets, computer pockets and key-ring clips. Wallets are slimline for comfort and convenience.
